Sombre Pigeon (Cryptophaps poecilorrhoa), 34 cm. Dark smoky-brown to blackish with an iridescent blue-green gloss; endemic to Sulawesi and the Talaud Islands. Inhabits primary montane forest above 1,000 m. Frugivore. Near Threatened; restricted to highland forest in a heavily deforested region.

Red-moustached Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus mercierii), 27 cm. Green with a red moustachial streak and orange underparts; endemic to the Marquesas Islands. Last confirmed on Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa. Possibly Extinct; last reliably recorded in the 1970s. Threatened by introduced rats and cats.
