It has a rich chestnut breast band contrasting with grey and white underparts. It feeds on seeds and small insects, often seen in pairs or small flocks in open puna habitats.
Azure-rumped Tanager
The Azure-rumped Tanager is a Vulnerable tanager found in humid forests of Guatemala and southern Mexico, weighing about 14g with a wingspan of 17.5cm.
