Flesh-footed Shearwater

41–45 cm, wingspan 99–107 cm. All-dark sooty-brown with pale flesh-coloured feet and yellowish bill base. Breeds southern Indian Ocean islands and SW Australia; ranges to North Pacific. Near Threatened; bycatch concern. Feeds on fish and squid; follows fishing vessels.

Kermadec Petrel

38 cm. Polymorphic: pale morph has white underparts; dark morph is all brown-grey. Breeds Kermadec, Juan Fernandez, and Pacific islands. Ranges widely in subtropical and tropical Pacific. Feeds on fish and squid; nests in rock crevices and burrows.
