Black-headed Penduline-tit

The Black-headed Penduline-tit is a small, active tit-like bird with a distinctive black head and throat, white cheeks, and chestnut-brown upperparts. It inhabits dense riverine vegetation, reed beds, and scrubby areas along watercourses in Central Asia and Russia. It feeds on small insects and seeds, and builds a distinctive hanging, woven nest suspended from branches over water.
