Large slender cuckoo-dove, 38–41 cm, with strongly barred rufous and black upperparts, a pale pinkish-buff underside, and a long graduated tail. Inhabits montane and foothill forests from the Himalayas through southern China to Indochina, Sumatra, Java, and Borneo. Frugivore of small forest fruits and berries. Least Concern.
