Beautiful Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus pulchellus), 19 cm. Among the most vividly coloured: red cap, green back, white breast with a rose-pink breast bar, and yellow belly. Found in lowland forest of western New Guinea. Frugivore. Least Concern; restricted to New Guinea but locally common.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
