Puna Flamingo
Puna Flamingo (Phoenicoparrus jamesi) is a medium 90–92 cm flamingo of extreme high-altitude Andean salt lakes above 4,000 m. Pale pink; distinctive red facial skin; all-red bill with black tip; yellow legs. Found in Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and Argentina. Vulnerable; ~50,000 birds. Also called James's Flamingo.
American Flamingo
American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) is a large 100–145 cm, brilliant pink flamingo of the Caribbean and Galápagos. Deepest pink of all flamingos; kinked pink-and-black bill. Inhabits hypersaline coastal lagoons, estuaries, and salt flats in the Caribbean, Yucatán, Galápagos, and northern South America.
