Bare-faced Ibis
The Bare-faced Ibis is a wading bird of the family Threskiornithidae found in open wetlands, flooded grasslands, and agricultural areas across South America. Weighing about 546.5g with a wingspan of 53.1cm, it has a distinctive bare reddish face and a long curved bill. It probes mud and shallow water for invertebrates, fish, and amphibians.
Andean Ibis
75 cm. White head and neck with chestnut tones; black upperparts; bare reddish facial skin. Restricted to Andean grasslands (puna) of Peru, Bolivia, and northwestern Argentina at 3,000–5,000 m elevation. Vulnerable; feeds on invertebrates and small vertebrates in high-altitude bogs and grasslands.
