About These Birds

Medium-large terrestrial pigeon, 30–33 cm, similar to New Guinea Bronzewing but with a white head (not just forehead). Confined to lowland forests of New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago. Feeds on seeds and fallen fruits on the forest floor. Least Concern.

Medium quail-dove, 25–28 cm, with brown upperparts, grey head, and fine dark streaking on the grey breast giving a 'lined' appearance. Inhabits montane cloud forest in Venezuela, Trinidad, and adjacent Colombia. Terrestrial forager. Least Concern.
