Talaud Rail
Talaud Rail (Gymnocrex talaudensis) is a poorly-known rail endemic to the Talaud Islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Similar to Blue-faced Rail; brown above with some rufous tones; bare facial skin. Inhabits forest and scrub on small islands. Known from very few specimens.
Ruddy-breasted Crake
Ruddy-breasted Crake (Zapornia fusca) is a small 19–23 cm crake of South and East Asia. Rich rufous-chestnut underparts; dark brown upperparts; red bill and legs. Breeds from Pakistan east through China, Japan, and Indonesia; partially migratory. Inhabits dense freshwater marshes, rice paddies, and reed beds.
