About These Birds
Black-faced Babbler
The Black-faced Babbler is a medium-sized, gregarious babbler with brown upperparts, white underparts, and a striking black mask around the face and eyes. It inhabits dry thornbush, Acacia scrubland, and miombo woodlands of southern and east-central Africa, from Angola to Tanzania. It moves in noisy family groups through dense undergrowth, foraging for insects, berries, and small lizards.
