White-bellied Storm-petrel

White-bellied Storm-petrel, 18–21 cm, breeds on sub-Antarctic and South Atlantic islands; pelagic across the Southern Ocean in winter. White belly contrasts with dark breast band and dark upperparts; pale at base of rump. Planktivore; patters over sea surface. Often seen in the company of Wilson's Storm-petrel.

White-vented Storm-petrel

White-vented Storm-petrel, 15–17 cm, is a small, poorly known storm-petrel of the eastern South Pacific. Dark above with white rump and white vent. Pelagic off the coasts of Peru, Chile, and Ecuador; breeding grounds discovered only recently on tiny Patagonian islands. Planktivore.
