Nuku Hiva Imperial Pigeon (Ducula galeata), 50 cm. Largest Ducula; pale grey overall with dark metallic green upperwings and a massive bill. Endemic to Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia. Inhabits montane forest. Endangered; hunting and introduced black rats threaten its tiny population.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
