Black-backed Butcherbird
The Black-backed Butcherbird is a medium-sized butcherbird of open woodland, forest edges, and mangroves in the Cape York Peninsula of Queensland, Australia and southern New Guinea. It has a white body with a black back and head and a powerful hooked bill. It is an adept hunter, impaling prey such as insects, lizards, and small birds on thorns.
