About These Birds
Barred Antthrush
The Barred Antthrush is a ground-dwelling passerine of the family Formicariidae found in humid montane forests on the Andean slopes of South America. Weighing about 73.8g with a wingspan of 17.9cm, it has heavily barred brown-and-buff plumage. It walks slowly through the forest floor, probing leaf litter for insects and other invertebrates.
Black-faced Antthrush
The Black-faced Antthrush is a plump, short-tailed bird with rich brown upperparts, a black face and throat, and barred rusty-buff flanks, walking with a characteristic bobbing motion.
