Baird's Sandpiper
Baird's Sandpiper: 14–17 cm, long-winged flat-backed sandpiper with buffy-brown upperparts, black bill, and black legs. Breeds on High Arctic tundra of Alaska, Canada, and Greenland; migrates through the interior of North and South America to winter on South American highlands and coasts. Long-distance migrant. Feeds on invertebrates.
Sulawesi Woodcock
Sulawesi Woodcock: 32–36 cm, woodcock endemic to montane forest of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Nocturnal with cryptic brown plumage. Inhabits mossy forest above 1,000 m; probes leaf litter and soft soil for invertebrates. NT. Threatened by logging and agricultural conversion of highland forest. Sedentary island endemic.
