Barratt's Warbler is a secretive warbler of the family Locustellidae found in dense montane scrub, bracken, and rank grassland in eastern South Africa and Swaziland. Weighing about 19g with a wingspan of 12.5cm, it is a skulking brown bird more often heard than seen. It feeds on insects gleaned from dense low vegetation and leaf litter.

The Baikal Grasshopper-warbler is a small warbler that breeds in northeastern Asia and winters in South and Southeast Asia, weighing about 10.3g with a wingspan of 10.6cm. It inhabits tall grass and reed beds, where it sings a distinctive reeling song. Like other Locustella warblers it is secretive and more often heard than seen.
