Wood Sandpiper: 19–23 cm, medium-sized sandpiper with spotted brown upperparts, white supercilium, pale yellow legs, and white rump. Breeds across boreal Eurasia from Scandinavia to Siberia; winters in Africa, South Asia, and Australia. One of the most abundant Eurasian shorebirds. Feeds on invertebrates in shallow wetlands.
