Bennett's Woodpecker
Bennett's Woodpecker is a medium-sized woodpecker of dry open woodland, bush, and savanna in eastern and southern Africa. Males have a red cap and malar stripe, while both sexes show heavily spotted and barred brown-and-white plumage. It forages on tree trunks and on the ground for ants and other insects.
Ashy Woodpecker
The Ashy Woodpecker is a large woodpecker endemic to Sulawesi and the Sula Islands in Indonesia. Weighing about 312g with a wingspan near 36cm, it is one of the larger woodpeckers in its region and is predominantly pale grey. It forages on large trees in primary and tall secondary forest for insects and larvae.
