Red-moustached Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus mercierii), 27 cm. Green with a red moustachial streak and orange underparts; endemic to the Marquesas Islands. Last confirmed on Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa. Possibly Extinct; last reliably recorded in the 1970s. Threatened by introduced rats and cats.

Small-medium green-pigeon, 25–27 cm; male has a grey head, grey cheeks, and green body with a yellow-green breast; female is green with grey cheeks. Found in lowland and hill forest from Sulawesi through Maluku to the Lesser Sundas and Philippines. Frugivore of figs and small berries. Least Concern.
