Pohnpei Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus ponapensis), 22 cm. Green with a lilac head and an orange-yellow breast; endemic to Pohnpei, Micronesia. Occupies primary forest above 200 m on this volcanic island. Frugivore. Vulnerable; total range barely exceeds 100 km².

Medium green-pigeon, 27–30 cm, named for its notably thick, curved bill adapted for crushing large fig seeds; male has a red bill base and maroon shoulder; female is green. Widespread in lowland and hill forest from the eastern Himalayas through Indochina to Sumatra, Borneo, and the Philippines. Frugivore of hard-seeded figs. Least Concern.
