The Arabian Green Bee-eater is a slender, colorful bee-eater from the Arabian Peninsula and adjacent regions, weighing about 17.5 grams with a wingspan near 18 cm. It sports vivid green plumage with a blue forehead and a distinctive black eye-stripe, catching bees and other flying insects with aerial sallies from exposed perches. It nests colonially in sandy banks and flat ground burrows.

It inhabits the canopy and edges of lowland tropical forests from Sierra Leone east to Uganda. Like other bee-eaters, it sallies from exposed perches to capture bees, wasps, and other flying insects in midair.
