Sumba Buttonquail (Turnix everetti) is a small buttonquail endemic to the island of Sumba in the Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia. Sandy-brown plumage with dark streaking. Inhabits open grassland and scrub on Sumba. Known from very few specimens.
Yellow-legged Buttonquail
Yellow-legged Buttonquail (Turnix tanki) is a small 15–17 cm buttonquail of South and South-East Asia. Sandy-buff with rufous streaking above; yellow legs. Female larger and brighter than male (sex-role reversal). Inhabits open grassland, scrub, and cultivation from Pakistan east to China and Indonesia.
