Rich ferruginous (deep rusty-orange) overall; upperparts black-and-rufous barred; flanks black boldly spotted white; bare red facial skin; underparts rufous-orange; one of the most vividly coloured Southeast Asian partridges.
Chestnut-necklaced Partridge
Brown upperparts with dark scaling; broad chestnut pectoral band across buff-white breast; white supercilium; pale orange-buff flanks; green legs. Female paler with narrower or absent chestnut necklace.
