Medium-large terrestrial pigeon, 30–33 cm, similar to New Guinea Bronzewing but with a white head (not just forehead). Confined to lowland forests of New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago. Feeds on seeds and fallen fruits on the forest floor. Least Concern.
White-faced Quail-Dove
Medium quail-dove, 25–29 cm, with brown upperparts, a distinctive white face and throat, grey crown, and pale buff underparts. Inhabits humid montane forest from southern Mexico (Oaxaca, Chiapas) to Honduras. Terrestrial forager of seeds and forest fruits. Least Concern.
