Red-moustached Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus mercierii), 27 cm. Green with a red moustachial streak and orange underparts; endemic to the Marquesas Islands. Last confirmed on Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa. Possibly Extinct; last reliably recorded in the 1970s. Threatened by introduced rats and cats.

Comoro Green-pigeon

Medium green-pigeon, 27–30 cm, bright green with a grey head and yellowish wash on the underparts. Confined to the Comoro Islands (Grand Comore, Mohéli, Anjouan) in the Indian Ocean. Inhabits forest and forest edge. Frugivore of figs and berries. Near Threatened due to ongoing deforestation on the small Comoran islands.
