La paloma terrestre de las Bismarck es una gran paloma terrestre de 30-33 cm similar a la paloma bronceada de Nueva Guinea, pero con la cabeza blanca y sin la frente blanca. Northern Band-tailed Pigeon
Large, stocky pigeon, 33–38 cm, with purple-brown upperparts, a pale grey head, white half-collar on the nape, and a broad grey tail band. Inhabits montane conifer and mixed forests from British Columbia south through western North America to Nicaragua. Granivore of acorns, pine seeds, and berries. Least Concern; locally migratory.
