About These Birds

Felsentaube

Large green-pigeon, 35–36 cm, the largest in the genus, with rich green plumage, a large yellow-green bill, and orange-tinged breast in males. Inhabits lowland dipterocarp and peat-swamp forest from southern Thailand and Myanmar through Sumatra, Borneo, and the Malay Peninsula. Frugivore of large forest figs. Vulnerable due to lowland forest loss.
