NT. Threatened by introduced yellow crazy ants and habitat modification. Sedentary island endemic. Invertebrate feeder.

Javan Woodcock: 33–37 cm, woodcock restricted to montane forest on Java and Sumatra, Indonesia. Nocturnal, cryptic plumage of warm brown and black barring. Probes moist forest floor for earthworms and invertebrates. NT. Threatened by deforestation and agricultural encroachment. Sedentary montane endemic.
