Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Oriental Turtle-dove

Robust dove, 30–35 cm, with rufous-brown scalloped upperparts, a black-and-white neck patch, grey crown, and vinaceous-pink breast. Widely distributed across Asia from Siberia to Japan, wintering south to Southeast Asia and South Asia. Inhabits open forest, farmland, and scrub. Granivore of seeds and grain. Least Concern.
